Moichi
Packaging Design
What if the frozen aisle offered a moment of visual play instead of just functional choices?
Moichi is a premium mochi ice cream brand with a bold, geometric visual identity. Inspired by the soft, rounded form of mochi, the design utilizes a vibrant color palette and rhythmic patterns to redefine the dessert experience through a modern lens.
By moving away from conventional photography, the brand transforms a simple snack into a curated object that reflects a thoughtful design approach.
Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop
Problem
Aesthetic Disconnect: The frozen aisle often relies on literal imagery that fails to meet the expectations of today’s design-sensitive audience.
Generational Gap: I identified a disconnect between the need for a sophisticated appeal for adults and an intuitive, joyful experience for children.
Solution
Universal Visual Language: I developed a geometric system that translates the organic essence of mochi into vibrant, color-coded patterns.
Scalable Brand Experience: By replacing photography with bold graphics, I created a scalable system that ensures a consistent brand identity across all touchpoints.
